have a 93 ford ranger stx 5spd with 4.0 how do you set the odometer when u put a new motor in

I don't think that it's legal to reset an odometer. If you're wanting to keep track of the mileage on the new engine, why don't you you just make a good, permanent sticker placed in the engine compartment listing the mileage reading and date when the motor was installed?
