ODO stopped working

Well my ODO stopped ticking speedo still works fine. just stopped while i was driving. any thoughts?

Well, they get their data from the same VSS in the rear diff, so it's not that.

How about your TRIP odo, is that still registering?

the trip odo doesnt work either so what im thinking is that it might be a gear inside the actual gauge cluster for where it registers. that happened to a friend of mines car (wasnt a ford but might be the same thing). Otherwise im out of ideas I will take it apart this weekend and hopefully figure it out.

Well i take it apart around noon tomorrow so i get to find out what it is but if i Monica Bellucci I will do this all day long man.

If you pull the odo wheels be VERY CAREFUL of the paper lock on them.. If torn it's a bitch getting the damn thing back to working order again.
