odd turn signal issue

every so often I have an issue with the turn signals......when stopped with foot on the brake the left turn signal does not flash...... will start flashing again when you start moving, you can switch to the right turn signal and it works fine when stopped and the left still does not flash after you flip back to it.....then it will work fine again on the next left turn.... happens about once a month, both times it was sunny out.....was a mechanic for 12 years and never seen this issue before..... have checked bulbs and fuses

It's probably the turn signal switch. When you move the switch to a turn position it disconnects the relevant rear lamp from the brake switch and connects it to the front turn lamp, If it does not disconnect, the lamp still gets 12v when the brake is pressed.

that sucker isnt cheap either.... $161 and its special order..... might have to take my chances at the local pic n pull...... what years and models should I look for that have the same switch??
