my 93 2wd auto runs totally fine while driving but after i come to an idle it shudders for a seconds, then 5sec later shudders again. it almost feels like a miss but its not continuos. i read a tsb which slightly described my symptoms (what feels like a miss at idle on a warm engine) for the 1993 2wd automatic 3.0s and it says to replace the ecu.
has anyone done this? and if so how did you confirm it was the ecu?
it has new: iac, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coolant temp sensor, dpfe, air and fuel filter. all are motorcraft.
also i cleaned the maf and throttle body, smoke checked, and fuel pressure is within spec. used maf cleaner not carb or brake clean.
