Not sure if there will be any interest here... but Amazon Prime day has a deal on quality OBDII adaptors. These are the adaptors recommended by ForScan.

Bluetooth adaptor

I've shared a Brand Store on Amazon with you. https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/61193995-044A-4256-8487-EC1E879C80F1?__s=iohvsfesnfvvx4mt80y6&utm_source=drip&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Save+20%+on+our+best-selling+OBD+adapters&ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_ast_store_064E20Q7ZEKHC8E54TQQ&dplnk=Y&tag=mshop-android-amazon-preload-deeplink-freetraffic-pre-us-20&ptag=mshop-android-att-ampd-all-phone-pre-us-20

Hardwire cable for laptop...

I see $112.00. Is that correct?
And $48 for the cable...

Thanks for sharing. I've already got one, but if I didn;t I'd certainly be looking now. I've been trying to avoid Prime Day this year, I usually just end up buying stuff I don't really need.

I've got retrofit mirrors for my F-250 and a metal detector sitting in the living room from last years prime day. Want to do the mirror swap on the truck, but it still hasn;t happened. Bought the metal detector to try to find find my property markers, I've only taken it out of the box so far.

Only thing I'm really thinking I'd like to buy is a portable jump pack, but I don't want to spend the money even with the sales. If I get it's going to be either a Noco or a Fanttik that is large enough to jump my F-250's 7.3L diesel, and that size ain't cheap.

You saw correct, but the response seems like you may have misunderstood what you are seeing.

They are two seperate devices. You can go with the wireless version for $112, or the wired version for $48. Having both is not necessary.

I personally have the cable version. I have no need for wireless and prefer the speed and stability of a wired connection.

Those prices you see are correct.... in USD.

They don't give them away... and there certainly are cheaper ones. But when I was looking either of these were the recommended adaptors to have for ForScan. I actually bought the cable version first. Then bought the Bluetooth adaptor to use with my tablet... which I planned to use as my dedicated "scan tool". Now that tablet is old and really slow... so I used "prime day" to upgrade my tablet.

My wife had bought a new tablet for me to view security cameras throughout a 35 store chain of pizzerias... and I planned to use it also for my scan tool and navigation apps in my truck. However... she uses it now too for that purpose and doesn't want me to fool with it for scan tool and nav.

So anyway... I have a new Samsung tablet... protective case and new Ram Mounts coming today for use in my truck. My old mounts won't hold the new bigger tablet. So it's gonna be like Christmas here today.

That clarifies things. Thanks.

Something I've been meaning to try... I wonder if the USB adapter can be plugged into a cell phone and work...

Probably with an adapter. I can say that it does work with Android. I have used mine between the F-250 and an Android head unit that has USB-A ports.

Oh and for what it's worth, I didn't dodge the temptation of prime days. I've got a Fanttek jump starter coming, the bigger one that will handle the 7.3 diesel as well. Also threw some new cruise control switches for the Ranger and night sights for a pew pew I the cart before checking out.

Yep. Had to use the Torque Pro app, but I was able to read several sensors on Brittney's 2016 Versa Note.
