i have a 1990 4.0 auto trans and tc so the sensor is in the tc but i need to kno where i can splie into that for my over head console so i can b done with it :yahoo: thanks guys

Speed sensor? There is a speedometer gear and cable that goes from your speedometer to your transfercase.

The speed sensor, mounted to the transfer case, tells the electronic control module that the vehicle is stopped so range shifts can occur.

What does that have to with your over head console?

the over head console needs a feed from the vss to tell it to stop taking temp readings when the truck is standing still

so is there a way i can get that type of signal on my 90

i hate the temp skipping help theres gotta be a way to trick it into thiking that im moving at all times

On my 90, I tapped the VSS sensor wire off of the Cruise Control Module behind the glove box. The wire was grey w/ black stripe and it worked fine.

**** yea i will have to get on that but i dont rember seeing any wires behind the glove box

so did you have to pull your dash to get to that wiire
