obd


um it says on the site

"The compact and durable ElmScan 5 USB scan tool supports all OBD-II protocols"

so from that my guess is that its for obd 2 connectors.
 
thats what i was lookin for so i have the obd 1 and the obd 2 will not work right
 
thats cool byt i also like seeing all the codes and beein able to see th rpm and all the senser read outs
 
You don't need to buy a scan tool for your truck, just a 6" section of wire and a test light.

Not even that.

It can be done with a paper clip. The check engine light serves as a "test light."

A 6 inch wire with 1/4 inch spades at both ends is the "nice" way to do it, but it can be done in a pinch with any decent conductor.
