I found that the o2 sensors on my 1993 Ford ranger 4.0 are disconnected but i cant find where they connect. Can someone please tell me or show me a pic of where they connect thank u.

It's usually right after the manifold, crammed down in there where it's hard to get to, but it's do-able. Theres also a second one as the tubing from the manifold comes back towards the muffler. It should be somewhere in close proximity to the cat, either before or after.

Well if its like my 91....the O2 is right before the catalytic converter....the plug if up near the bellhousing of the transmission on the passenger side.

Sorry if I didn't explain. Well i know where the o2 sensor is but the wire from it is just hanging there and idk where the connection for it is at.

Still not very clear on the connector thing. Do the sensors have connectors on the wires. Take that connector and search around the firewall or bell housing for the other side of it from the engine harness. They were probably disconnected for a reason maybe the wires got fried and were stuffed away from the exhaust somwhere.

The best thing woud be to trace the wires on one the same year as yours in the bone yard or ask someone at the store or something like that. They either been cut or stuffed out of the way.

+1. Try looking around on the passenger side of the truck from the bottom or the top of the truck. Look for loose or even burned wires that match that connector.

Ok thanks a lot i found it. It was behind the intake manifold it was a pain to get to it tho. But I also found that my truck doesn't have a cat. Looks like they took them out and put smaller pipes in and a magnaflow muffler. Can this be a problem?
