Looked it up and some of the Oxygen sensors sold for my truck a 96 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 have 2 wires from the plug to sensor. My Ranger downstream has a 4 wire plug is there a way to convert and wire up a 4 wire plug spliced with a 2 wire oxygen sensor?

My plug end 4 wire oxygen sensor what happened with it was the head of the oxy gen sensor broke off when i pulled the tranny

Below is the 2 wire oxy sensor that is said to work for a 96 ford ranger 2.3L

can you connect these in some way to work?

if im understanding you correctly, you want to replace your 4 wire sensor with a 2 wire sensor? why not just get the correct sensor for your truck?

Well thats just it

well thats just it the website selling the to 2 wire lists my exact spec truck 96 ford ranger xl 2.3L 2wd i have a 4 wire set up so either it is the correct sensor or it can be made to work. Any thoughts

whatever website you found the 2-wire sensor on is incorrect.
