O2 problems

Check oil light reads a sensor on the drivers side of the oil pan
If you park at a sideways angle, i.e. passenger side of truck lower than drivers side, then Check oil light would come on after start up
It would not go off until you were level AND turned the key off and on again
It doesn't reset on its own, must key off and on to reset it

Figured it out. The mystery wire i have down by the starter is the oil level sensor wire. It must have touched metal today flopping around down there. Ill have to zip tie it somewhere.

Got the new computer that ford says goes with my truck. Decided to just go with it instead or redoing the capacitors in the old mystery computer.
Well it fired right up and the check engine light stayed off , but the truck wouldn't go into overdrive. And I just paid 1800 for another transmission because my old one wouldn't go into overdrive. I even took it out on the interstate. No check engine light, no overdrive. I was not happy. Then on the way back from Walmart the check engine light came on for awhile.
I checked the code 528 and 176.
528 is an overdrive fault. And good old 176 is the o2 sensors lean.
Got home and replaced the capacitors in my old mystery computer and put it back in. Overdrive came back. And ill have to admit the check engine light has been coming on less often since my 90mph trip to West palm beach and back.
I've ordered injectors and I'm going to return the computer for a refund.
I pulled the vacuum hose off of the fuel thing on top of the motor. No fuel in vacuum line. The o2 sensors are all the way in and connected. What next?

Do I need to remove the intake manifold to replace the injectors? I haven't checked torque on intake fasteners yet .
Also the capacitors i replaced were different sizes. two were 47uf50v one was 10uf63v. Is that right?
i installed three 47uf16v capacitors in there places. They were much smaller but they work....so far.

The voltage is the big deal, you will need to change those, you can go with a higher voltage, just not a lower voltage

i.e. you can use 47uF 63v(or 100v) in place of a 47uF 50v

They are not expensive, even if you have to buy 5 of each kind

And of course Polarity matters with this type of capacitor

Probably need to test fuel pressure, again, can't remember if you did before?
30-40psi is expected with engine running, and REV engine a few times, shouldn't drop too much

Let me get this straight, the capacitors have a positive and a negative lead? Thats not good i just soldered them in. I have ordered 47uf50v's and 10uf50v's capacitors. I'll redo the ecm when i get they get here Tuesday. But ill have to figure out where that 10uf50v goes.
And where do i hook up the fuel pressure tester?

I deleted the pics I took then I remembered I posted them here. The negative is to the right as you said. I'm going to open up the new ecm I bought to find the 10uf50v

Rad support was full, so battery is fair game but only METAL tools, long ones

And that's how I learned to WELD, one of those serendipity moments


But yes, you are right of course, it was a goof on my part, and then I was a compete idiot and took a picture of it

Was driving home on the interstate today and it felt like the power was shuttering i started slowing down but not by choice then my foot got so far down overdrive kicked off. It started running better then but was not right. It also started getting hot. Its never done that before. Got to the store and when I came out it made some unhappy noises from the intake started then shook like a wet dog until I got going down the road again. By the time I got home it was running better but still on the hot side. The needle was on L instead of o or r as it usually is even at 80.
I just happen to get the correct capacitors today so I pulled out the computer and soldered them in. Took it out on the highway and it did the same thing.
I'm really starting to hate this truck. The only code was 176. Same a usual.
