O/D Light Flashing

Last night/early this morning on my way home my OD light started flashing. I checked my trans fluid and it was good to go. Any ideas?

when the OD light flashed on our ford contour, it was the torque converter acting up (it wouldnt lock). ended up replacing torque converter, but basically it was explained to me at the shop that the OD light is sort of a CEL for the tranny so it could be anything.

Was it shifting normal before the light started flashing? You need to have the codes checked in the PCM and report back

if its a edge im going to say that its the oss ( output shaft speed sensor z0 or tss ( turbine speed shaft sensor ) that could be faulty or you could have a valvebody issue.. ive rebuilt 1 so far the trans is called a 6f60
