Now this from Ford....OMG


My colorado is actually a pretty good truck. I know, i know its a chevy. But it goes good in the snow, gets between 28-30MPG, no matter how i drive it, can get rubber 1st thru 3rd, and hold its own on red light to redlight tromps.

Im 6'0 and 250lbs, i actually have my seat about halfway UP to hit the pedals, with plenty of room behind the seat to shove shit. My only complaint about the truck is how fragile the body panels and waht not seem to be, but its that way with anything new. I hit a small deer at about 35 with it about a yr ago, busted the grille, headlight, and dented the fender. I creamed a 10pt with rusty and it busted the grille, headlight, and smashed the fender, howeever, i was doing 60 or a lil better when i hit it with rusty, and it was a square, full bodied hit, not a glancing blow (hell the colorado didnt even kill the deer, rusty disengrated it).

I know those 1500HD's are pretty stout, but i was reffering to your basic 4.3L/2wd WT.

Dont judge the colorado based on the S10, i believe alot of the underpinnings are the same but as far as comfort and power go, the colorado has it beat. The S10 interior feels cramped, the colorado feels very open, kinda like the difference between a 1st gen ranger (open and comfy) to a 4th gen (cramped and closterfobic).

When Ranger ends......... I'm going to buy a Ranger, and then another Ranger, and then a B2 and then another B2....

Ive never bought a vehicle off the lot before (new)......... and I never planned to.
When they discontinue Rangers it will just make the Rangers I have worth that much more... and mean you guys can get Nissans, and Yota's, and S-10's and I can have all the old quality products for myself.

I'm with ya. How bout they make a 4cyl turbo ranger. More power more MPG.
 
I am really liking my little ranger. due to the bad economy it has replaced my full siize 07 chevy 2500HD desiel and my 06 chevy box van. This ranger is the only truck I have now and it is a great truck...great on gas, I got up to 23.84 on my last buisness trip. It has the 3.0 v6. Easy to park. When I need to carry extra equipment I tow a 5 x 8 trailer. I am learning I can do a lot with a little truck and don't think I will swith back to anything bigger even it I can afford it. I think Ford is making a big mistake if they drop the ranger.

I will miss the Ranger. I have had several and a Courier before. I hope Ford gets it together. I use a Ranger because I don't need a full size truck.
 
the only things i haul with my truck are the occasional furniture, sometimes a truckload of friends going to a destination their cars won't reach, and my quad. my quad isnt gonna fit in the back of a festiva, nor is the focus gonna make it to my camp. SVT ranger IMO would be a big seller. nice wheels, nice sounding exhaust, eco-boost..
