To anyone who is familiar with bypassing the heater hoses running to the intake plenum just behind the throttle body...

would running cool water through there be a terrible idea? I live in a fairly warm climate, and it wouldn't be to difficult to switch between warm coolant and cold coolant either way.

i have a small oil cooler and with a 12v pump and a small homemade reservoir it could have its own cooling circuit.

the plenum gets pretty hot right now, just quite to hot to hold your hand on, but touchable w/o consequence.

Your engine was designed to operate properly at designed temperature range. I doubt you would gain anything with by-passing heater hoses, and you may cause poor performance if sensors pick up out of range signals.
