Northeast Forum

Does anyone care if I spilt up the Northeast Forum and add Ohio to the New England forum and rename it 'Northeast' - Put Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky in the Southeast Forum, and put Indiana and Michigan in the Northern Midwest forums?

It doesn't bother me, but I think the "New England" forum should consist of NH, RI, MA, VT, ME, CT, and MAYBE NY and PA.

no problem with it but I agree with the above PA and NY should be seperated with NJ in my opinion...

I kinda don't like being lumped in with 'New England" (stupid cheating Patriots) so I'm all for it. In my mind, New England is NY and up.

I think that makes sense except Ohio should be in the Midwest forum as well

I agree - I've lived in NY my whole life and never really thought of NY or PA as New England. Dang Patriots...

Just my 2 cents - doesn't matter to me.

Ohio should be part of the "Great Lakes region" along with IN, IL, MI, WI etc.

Oio is one of those states that is "slippery" to define as "Northeast" and it isn't
"Mid West" or west and has not been defined as such since the end of the "Late unpleasantness between the states".

PA, NY, NJ, MD, DE should be "Mid atlantic" as this is already defined.

as is New England being defined as: ME, NH, RI, MA, CT, VT.

Kentucky is another state that is hard to define, because it can be argued as being part of the "middle states" or the South but you'll get heated arguements against either label.

Missouri is "south" regardless of any other label that may be applied or the fact that it's on the wrong side of the river.

Texas, OK, NM and argueeably Arkansas could be argued as south central
leaving AZ, NV, CA, CT and argueably Utah as "South West"

all of these "groupings" are highly argueable... and likely reaching a unanimous agreement
is impossible.

As for canada? giv them a single "Great White North" forum unless they whine about it then
split it into east and west UNDER the GWN heading.
