Hello, Darryl is my name. I bought a 2002 edge extended cab ranger. It has 2WD. 140,000k miles. It makes the rush door hinge noise on up and down movements, like when I sit in the driver's seat, or raise up from the same. I crawled under it just now and moved the chassis up and down. The noise seemed to be coming from the coils area on the right side. From what I have read elsewhere it is probably the ball joints: either upper or lower or both, probably on both passenger and driver side. I am recently retired. I have the time. I plan to scrape up the money for tools and parts. Any helpful advice is appreciated. Thanks.

if your parts are still the originals it's time. probably need tie rods and shocks too.
