Nor Cal chat thread

Are we talking about a BW 1350/1354 doubler? If so I'm in for a stub shaft. And I run a 4 kilowatt laser at work that'll make quick work of the adapter plates if anyone's interested.

He wants to sell it as a set. At this point he isn't interested in building the shafts solo. I have been trying to push him in that direction.

I sure wish someone would do just the shafts. The machine shops I deal with on a regular basis won't tool up for anything less then a hundred parts. I'm not a capable enough machinist to hob the shaft myself, and I'm not too fond of the two piece cobbled together shaft either.

What's he want for the parts kit? And what's in it?

He wants 900 built and I think he said 500 for all the parts. It's a cut case, the machined plate, the stub shaft basically everything you need to do it just not assembled. If you give me your number I can get you in touch with him.

Took the expo out for a drive with the new 40s and probably 15-20 psi in the tires. Her road manners are rapidly fading. What a hand full. Gonna need a steering stabilizer asap. And a side note. 40s have a lot of sidewall to flex. You can literally feel the tires rolling over in the corners.

Skip the steering stabilizer and do hydro assist. The second you hit the rocks with 40's your going to wish you did

Yeah I know. I won't have the money for it for this summer. Still gotta get the rear disc conversion and do all the doubler stuff. That is gonna tap me out for a while...

Just get the hoses and you can have my old trail gear ram. It leaks a little but still works

Can you tap the factory box?

I'm pretty sure you can. Trail gear sells the hoses

I'll look into it. I'll look for a ram too. If I just need the hoses and a ram I might be able to swing that.

I think the trail gear kit is about $300 or so. It steers really slow though. That why I got the psc ram

Yeah seeing as this will still see road use until I get a trailer and truck I gotta get something I can drive on the street.

I agree with Wes. You're going to want hydro assist for the rocks, but a cheep band-aid for the road manners, a steering stabilizer helps. Also running a higher pressure, 30-40 psi, helps immensely with side wall rolling on the streets.

Yeah I know the low pressure was part of it. Lol went out today and one of them was dead flat. Need to put new valve stems in them.
