Nor Cal chat thread

yep. how much do you want for it? I'll have to look into the wiring. I would think it wouldn't matter but you never know.

fack I want a manual too! im worried my auto is gonna grenade soon.

for the manual, you need to find the same year ranger as you have with a manual ecu. other wise it throws all kinds of codes and bugs out since it thinks the tranny is messed up.

Is that a big deal? Remember, I don't have to smog. I can care less how many codes show as long as it runs. As soon as I get a tow rig it will no longer be a DD just a toy.

you will need to get a ecu out of a 99 4.0 manual or have your existing ecu reprogrammed to delete the auto trans functions. if you find out it will work i have the clutch, flywheel, slave, and i might even have a clutch master. $100

I'll make some calls today any see what I can find out. Thank dude.

Wes, I found EVERYTHING I would need for the swap from LQK Auto Parts. My only question I have for you is did you have to change your harness when you did you 8v swap? That was the only consern the guy on the other end of the line had. My guess in no.

He also said he can get me a complete 8v out of a exploder with everthing I would need as well... HMMM.

Anybody know who makes lower gear sets for 205's? I checked amazon, ebay, bronco grave yard and advance adapter. None had after market gears. Only rebuild kits and reseal kits.

i was looking for them too for my 205, I havent been able to find any. they might not have any out on the market...

i had to use the v8 engine harness it plugs right into the ranger body harness. make sure you get a 99 or newer v8 or else there is additional wiring and plumbing for the fuel system. you will have to extend the power cable to the starter i think i dont remember. you will also have to get the PATS system reprogrammed. and make sure you get the v8 motor mounts

Hey Ben what doubler you lookin into getting? 600 is way more reasonable lol.

congrats on the win wes! well deserved!
