Yeah Im still here, just been ridiculously busy with school.....
On another note I got that lift kit you sold me installed on my truck.

lol niiiiiice, I made it too! in 2wd! thats right bitches! she was in 2wd when it died.

waht kind of suspension do you want for the front? coilovers, leafs, coils?

I have baja fenders and a flared bed. I have stock running gear with 2-inch wheel spacers and 16x10 inch 5-lug wheels. I want an axle in the front so that I can use my stock spring towers but is wide enough to compensate for the wheel spacers - same in the rear - so that I can use my wheels.

doesnt answer my question. the type of suspension and steering you chose dictate how difficult itll be.

ok. i wouldnt suggest a d30 but they are easier to find, out of an xj or a tj. if youre wheelin hard go with a d44

I only do occasional wheeling. what do i need to do fab wise for the d30?

You should just go ahead and go with a d 44. If you do a d30 you going to break stuff unless you dump a good amount of money into it. The easiest way to do it is leaf springs. You can sas a 97 and older ranger in a weekend. By the way welcome to the site. I say **** the search button just come to our meets and you can ask in person for more in depth answers. Don't mind the people getting on your case about asking over asked questions.

Dayne how did the lift turn out? Pics?

I have a hybrid answer. there is a ton of SAS stuff on these forums, but also a few guys with knowledge on it in the group. it really depends on what you want the result to be. you are going to have to get wheel adapters if you want to keep the wheels since a dana 44 from a jeep is 6 lug and a ford is 5x5.5. are you planning on doing it all yourself or not? need to let us in on what you want out of it. ifd you just want a lil more performance or if you want something you can go ANYWHERE with. and you need to get a budget.
