My doors on my ranger are really driving me nuts lately. They are making a really loud rattling sound when driving off road, louder when faster. Not just rattling, but as if the entire door is banging around. I'm not sure if its specifically the hinges making the sound or where the door seals to the body of the cab. Sounds like the doors are about ready to fall off.I know the hinges are Bushingless, so that might just be it.

On the drivers side I know the door is not aligned all that great either, so could be related somehow I suppose.

anyway, anybody know what could be the cause, or more importantly, what could be a fix?

After searching with google for a while I have found what I think will fix it. After 40 minutes chasing the answer I found a prerunner ranger forum.... That had a link to this thread on yet another forum I'd never heard of that had a writeup on it.

hinge pins and bushings is usually the #1 cause and also a cheap fix. Next would be to adjust the striker, which is free and only takes minutes. And the least common, the weather stripping.

I'm doing number one and two on Wednesday. I'll post up how well it turns out.
