No vehicles in Rigs of Rods

I got a new laptop today and downloaded Rigs of Rods, and when i try playing it the only vehicles I can get are 2 buses, a tractor trailer, and an 8x8 rig. and i can only use 1 location. is anybody elses like this? when I used to play it last year i just had to download the game and it came with a pile of cars and trucks and crawlers.

I had that problem once, i deleted it and reinstalled it but i'm sure there is an easier fix

I would delete it and download it again. Mine has a bunch of locations and vehicles. Once you get it fixed, download a terrain called "Trail Island". Its pretty cool

i don't get this game... what's it all about? why's it so damn slow?

There is really no point to the game other than just driving around. Its more of a driving simulation than a game almost. It takes a pretty fast computer to even be able to run it. My old laptop couldnt run it because the computer was too slow.

I used to have the game and it was awesome, but I can't download it anymore cause I got a Macbook, the only downfall to owning one...

After the main install finishes you have the option of installing the content pack, you probably missed it.

you can run windows on a mac. Thats how I play skyrim on my brothers Imac

Hmmm, I'll have to check again (when I get home). I downloaded it, and it kept giving me Direct X errors.

I thought since it's freeware that it was probably available all over the place.

Could've been. I found a 1st gen dodge cumins package on the RoR Respitory by Box5 and I downloaded that .zip file and use that truck in the game now. I tried to download Trail Island from the respitory but when I go to select that terrain it takes me to my vehicle to select then the game quits on me.

Didn't you build a Ranger or 2? Is there a download file for them?

Hmm, that sounds kinda cool. Might have to check it out....computers probably not bad-ass enough though.
