I screwed up the torque converter when I was changing trannies. can I pull the bell housing off trans and put it on engine to mount starter to so can try to sell running motor?

Yes you can.

Well, you need an energy storage device as well.

If the studs are intact I would put the converter on too. It will probably run poorly if you don't.

and support the back of the engine, and cover the input hole in the converter
