I have a 97 / 4.0 stick. Recently Ive had trouble starting the truck. Key to start engine , nothing . No sound at all. Like the batt. is not there. The parking lights are flashing. Two times all it took was to disconnect the batt for a couple minutes and it would start normal for several days. About the same time this started , the cruse control and horn stopped working. I have power to the fuse in the distribution box under the hood. The 20 amp fuse is good but there is no power to the horn. Switched relay from the next slot and still wont work. Some time ago an alarm went off using the trucks horns, but we could never find any door switches that would operate it. Our other ranger has a horn mounted to the firewall by the left hood hinge. The lights flashing seem to tell me its in alarm mode but I cant find anything related to an alarm system. I have no key fob and just use the keys that came with the truck. Any ideas whats going on ? Any help on what to look for would really help. Thanks Ravo
