My credo
drive it till it breaks, fix it, and drive it again!
Drove around no problem all week, go out to my truck this evening, turn the key, hear a single pop noise and then nothing. No power, fuel pump doesn't turn on, no dash or dome. Replaced the battery, still nothing. Tried popping the clutch a few times, but not a peep was made. I have recently replaced damn near the whole ignition loop... Anyone have any idea what could be going on?! :icon_confused: Help please!

no fuses popped.... i dont know where or how to check fusible links. I don't have a multimeter or anything so anyone have any idea what i can check?

I hate when there is a wealth of knowledge out there but the thread goes dead.

I'm not Mr Goodwrench but I can tell you that an ohmeter is great to have. You can get them for super cheap in the clearance bins of parts stores.

You get one of those and a factory service manual...even Hayne's manuals are fine for most wiring diagrams. Chase the power. The battery may be good but the cables may not. A bad ground.

Like I said, I'm not Mr Goodwrench but I hate when threads go dead and you know there are about 100 people out there that could help.

Good luck with it....and go get that meter so you can find out where the 12v is stopping. From what you described it can't be far from the battery.

A test light will work also did you check the ground to the engine and chassis sand all grounds metal to metal. follow the pos cable from the battery to the start solenoid and see if you have power there. Where the batt pos goes to the start solenoid there is a wire/s that provides power to the engine and chassis those smaller wires have fusable links on them.look for power to the fuse block if no power it is likely the fuse link. The computer/radio. memory and lights should have full time power. those test lights work pretty good just clamp it on a good ground and trace the power with the pointer.
