I went to start my truck after eating lunch on saturday and climbed inside and hit the key and nothing happened no clicking or anything from the starter or solenoid. I moved the gear selector suspecting maybe the sensor didnt register that it was in park and also tried neutral and nothing happened. All the lights work along with locks and stereo. I got it home on the car trailer and i do have 12 volts and cleaned the terminals on the battery. I can start it using a piece of wire and jumping it from the battery to the solenoid, but the wire coming from the key or relay(red w/ light blue stripe) has no power when the key is turned to the start position. I was just wondering as to the odds of the problem being somewhere within the key or the possability of the park/neutral switch. What terminals would you test on the park/neutral switch? I do have experiance with sensors and switches and I do have a signal voltage at the switch. sorry for the long post just makin sure i got it all covered. 96 4.0 4x4 auto
