No spark! 2.9

I have a 2.9 with a new coil pack, distributor cap and button, and the tfi tested good. I parked it to put a new transmission in it and it ran til I got a mile down the road and it still won't start. Could it be the pickup coil or the distributor itself?

Did you check for spark from the coil?

Eliminate half the search by add some gas to intake, i.e. spray some starting fluid or gas into the intake manifold.
Then try to start, if it fires up and dies then fuel is the problem
If it doesn't fire then spark is the problem.

Well i think it was the tfi module anyways...traded my trashed mazda m5 tranny for a distributor, coil, cap, and the tfi module so any spark issues i have the parts to fix
