Great forum you have here. Hope I can get a little help. I've read through all the posts dealing with fan issues.

My situation in a 95 ranger.... Fan worked until last week. Fuses in the cab and PDB look fine. Power to sockets 86 and 87 under the blower relay (reading at 14 volts?). Put in a new blower relay. No power to fan motor, tested at plug.

I should be getting voltage at the plug, correct? Is there a reason to look at the resistor if I don't have any volts going to the fan motor?

Thanks

I take it high speed doesn't work either.

Try checking it again with the fan set for "High". As adsm asked. The resistor pack is used for all other speeds. High is full power to the motor. If you have fan at the highest setting? The resistor pack is most likely toast. No fan at high? Start checking the heater/blower fuse first. And go forward.

Made a mistake, I DO have power at the fan plug. No fan at any speed setting. Checked the fuses and replaced the relay. What's next, take out the fan motor and try powering it up?

Do you have ground?

If you have ground you need a new fan.
