Exactly. The simple fact that the son of a bitch still had his job should have told Paterno nothing was done. Or at least not enough was done.

So...while we''re throwing fits about morality & ethics....I guess you guys would get upset if you knew that Lobbyist have been trying to convince Congress for tha last 10 years that it should not be a crime to have sex with children who are 11 years old or older...

Who do we fire/throw in jail in that scenerio....Pervs who hire Lobbyist to plead their Perv Cause........or.....the Lobbyist who take money to lobby for Pervs....or....Congress (who should have enough sense--like Joe Paterno) who knows what the Pervs are doing "BEHIND" the scenes, but are too Congressional to put the FBI into action and arest all the well-to-do-Pervs who are probably doctors/lawyers/businessmen/etc. with enough clout to cause problems for anyone who gets in their way....

I guess the thing about this that just flabbergasts me, is the fact Paterno CONTINUED to work with this guy day in and day out. I knew a guy who got caught with some illegal pictures, (him and this Penn State guy could share stories) and I distanced myself as far as I could from that asshole.

From what I understand he had no proof that the assistant coach did it, turned in the one report he had and all it would take to blow it off was for his superior to tell him it was baseless.

I wasn't there and haven't really looked into it that close though. I marvel that it was more important in the media that Paterno lost his job than just about anything reguarding the guy that actually did it.

I do thing college sports are blown way out proportion as a whole.

I concur. I don't know what to make of it all, I kind of quit following it the past few days. Its disgusting, and PSU needs to clean house and start over with a whole new staff.
