e-shift....scrap that crap before you have to make a 13 mile jog back into town in 4-low :pissedoff:

3rd time its fucked up on me.. i can almost fix it with my eyes closed.. but yeah i need to scrap the damn thing

fix it? you mean crawl under the truck and smack it with a rock?

the last straw for my e-shift POS was forcing me to lay in 6" of slush in the grocery store parking lot and smack it with the handle of the broom i had just bought (no rocks in a parking lot) so i could get into 4wd to make it up the puny little incline at the parking lot exit. bent my new broom all to shit, got soaking wet, got my interior all muddy.... :pissedoff:

anyway, the wheels look a lot better painted than with the hubcaps :D

Can't you pop the motor off and turn it with pliers? I had one--actually 2, the first was the overhead buttons. I never had any issues with it though so I don't know first hand about the vice grip thing.

you sure can...but refer again to my 6" of slush problem...this was winter in alaska, not a good time to lay under ones truck outside.

i could always get it to shift, i just had to smack it with the nearest solid object first. i dont know how many time i tore apart, cleaned, lubed, and re-assembled that motor (something i do with great success all the time with washer and blower motors), it just wouldnt go for me :dntknw:

a manual 1350 is right up there with my favorite mods on my truck :D

i actually liked the hubcaps on there

does anyone know why there was 7 lugnuts on those hubcaps tho
iv always wondered that

they were on some of the disel fords and econolines

Good work! I think they turned out looking great.

An old trick for painted stock wheels, is to run a bead of silicone rubber caulk (black) into the round seam and smooth it before it sets; looks a little cleaner, and helps keep crud and rust from creeping out later.

its pretty self explainitory really. unbolt the electric case, bolt on the manual case.

do a search, its been discussed in detail quite a bit.

Syko, what height is your truck? I've been debating wether I could squeeze 30-950s in mine. I'm not into all the rubbing.

truck is stock these are 31-10.5.. the back doesnt rub.. The front did on the fender behind the bumper (cut that off) and at the back when turned at an angle and compressed driving on the road is completely fine. i would say 50/50% chance of rubbing with 30-9.5's im not sure
