No more 3.0?

I was looking through the new motor trend, and apparantly this year's ranger only has the 4 banger, and the 4.0. As far as I could tell the ranger was the only thing using the 3.0. Is this the end of the Vulcan?

I guess there's no room in this fast-pace world for an old fashioned cast-iron 3.0 pushrod V6 anymore. So long Spock.

Well, it's like the 5.0, or even the ol' 351C and 351W, i.e. there's SO MANY in existence, you'll always be able to find one.

my dad had both of those (302 and 351w) in his F 150's, he also had one with that monster 4.9L straight six. If the 3.0 is anything like those I won't need a new truck for a couple of decades.
