no kickdown

cant figure out,no codes,2001 4.0 sohc,does'nt kickdown unless realy put it on the floor,then not real strong,accelerates fine,good fuel preasure,any ideas?

Sounds like my problem. No acceleration and then bamn! Iws this transmission or engine related? Can't tell really.

my 98 dont kick down till i almost have it to the floor... engine is fine has lot power but jus acts up going up hills its like the rpm gets way low and sorta jumps and then shifts.... i prolly sell it soon anyway..

Oh no, are you saying perhaps this is a dieing transmission.

not necessarily, as long as it dont slip im sure its just electrical somewhere.. or that would be my guess.. i flushed my tranny and replaced fluid w synthetic and still does same thing.. not sure what the issue is really, i been meaning to post about this but havent had time..
