I installed a set of superwinch lock outs today i read the instructions and it said to not use grease on hubs or it will void the warrenty. i've always packed my hubs full of grease before putting them on. have i've been doing it wrong all these years?

grease is way too thick and will make the hubs harder to turn. i put a little 80w-90 in mine right before i slide them on, ive also heard of putting atf in them. you just need a little lubrication there, not a bunch of thick grease.

A light coating of grease on the hub's internal parts is fine. Packing it full of grease will prevent the hub from engaging properly though.
