no fuel

i just replaced my 2.9 in my 87 ranger because it had a rod knock and i got new moter in and there is no fuel to the rale but you can hear the pumps kick on and there is almost half tank in the truck what could it be

sure you bled all the air out of the system?? make sure you cycle the pump on and off... could be that the pump thats at the drivers door is bad...

i pulled the line off at the rail and it shoots fuel but none in rail

no how to wire the pump direct? i just had a swap done and the truck worked for 2 days and the furl pump quit? i think its wiring under the hood cuz its a mess and i am looking to wire it direct
