no ecm

I have a 1994 ranger xlt that the computer quit, now I find that the engine in this thing has a distributer and cannot find a ecm to match has any one else had this problem??

It would need to be a 3.0l, I think '94 was the last year of the distributor in Rangers
2.3l drop it in '90
2.9l wasn't offered in '94
4.0l never had distributor.
3.0l had a distributor in '94, it was dropped in '95

So you would need the computer from a '91 to '94 Ranger with 3.0l engine and matching transmission, i.e. if you have a manual then you need a manual ECM and if you have an automatic you need an automatic ECM.
I think the 4x4 system was separate
