Just bought a 97 Ranger XLT / 4.0 6V Auto

Air was blowing warm when I test drove the truck. Now I'm determined to fix it. Bought a 134 charge kit. Tested the pressure and it read full, so I didn't charge it.

Also, I have yet to here a click or clicking sound when blasting the AC.

What is my next step....

What exactly is "full"?

What was the High-side pressure gauge reading, and the Low-side reading while the A/C switch was turned on? And what was the ambient temperature outside?

(this was a real gauge set you used, correct? Not one of those little low-side-only piece of junk gauges that come pre-attached to a can of 134a freon?)
