well my truck didn't come with one and was wondering how easy would it be to put one in so i could have a radio and not just listen to the same cd's all the time.
unless its been "shaved", the antenna base should still be located on the passenger side fender. if this is the case then all you need to do is screw in a replacement.
ahh...someone must have decided they didnt need the antenna.
to re-install the base, your going to have to pull the passenger side front tire off and remove (or at least peel back) the inner fender. look for a loose wire (its large and black...sorta resembles cable tv-type of coax) hanging down. if your lucky, the whole base is dangling inside the inner fender. if your not, then someone removed all the original wiring along with the base.
guess its about time to hit the junkyard to rob the antenna, base, and coax (wire) from another ranger.
you can buy plugs for antenna holes from auto parts stores. im sure thats what a previous owner did since every range comes with an antenna from the factory.
