On my 88 STX, the air works when moving, but as soon as I stop or coast and the engine idles, the compressor cuts out. The compressor will cycle briefly, but turn off again. I do not have any leaks. The idle speed is right on. If I give it just a little gas, like 100 RPM more, the compressor comes back. My guess is to adjust the pressure switch and see if that helps. The system works good enough, as long as I don't slow down or stop. (I know, don't stop or slow down). Thanks for looking.
