Anyone go the inspection lately? I'm wondering if i have to pull my CAI out even though it is carb exempt, and idk if i should retune my engine back to stock. Im kinda thinking of just going and see how it works. Also how tall can the truck be before they dont inspect it. I only have a torsion crank and 32s on it

torsion crank and 32s they wont bother u, id just run it through, dont worry about ur intake, u should pass they only check your emissions and plug up to your computer

awesome, ill prob be going in the middle of april

I have no clue how the DMV works now. I was supposed to go last August and put it off. And in December they sent me a 1 year extension sticker. But I don't need the DMV for inspection, my dad is a Parts Manager at a Ford dealer. :thefinger:

yeah now they only check emissions on personal vehicles, my sisters car went through with no muffler and it passed so i'm not worried about my exhaust since i still have all the cats.

OBDII:

As long as there are no codes stored (no check engine light), Your OBD port is working, and the readiness monitors are ready (havent cleared codes or unhooked the battery within the past day or so), you will pass.

Oh yeah, they may test your gas cap too.

95 and earlier:

As long as you pass the sniffer test, you pass.

No more safety inspection. As long as you have a windshield to put a sticker on.

i went through the only thing i failed for was my cam sensor code. and i have 4" lift and 33's and i had a big chip in my windsheild right infront of the driver and they didnt say anything. so as long as u have no codes and will pass the sniffer your GTG! :yahoo: FINALLY NJ eased up on SOMETHING! now if we can only work on those highly restrictive gun laws:icon_thumby:
