Hey guys i have a 4.0l auto 8.8" rear with stock everything eventually im ordering 4.56 from the trs store maybe a lock right as well but for now i was just wondering i doubt i will but was curious to see if others on here actually had done it motors got 230k my other 4.0 has got 275 k and beside the lifter knock both run great beside junk yard motors are cheap

i think most people on here prefer turbo's/supercharger's
i do plan on putting a 100 shot wet kit in my truck next year when the warranty is up

Does any one on here even have a ohv supercharger? Let alone a 4.0 turbo its easy to get a manifold made and run the pipes and lines but i dont have a clue on the tune im sure the supercharger comes with some bs fmu that just raises the fuel pressure so they both could use a wideband tune im in washington state anyone tune around the northwest?

Hell yea make surd to take a vid that sould get the ol 3.0 scootin lol only reason i ask about n2o is i had a old crx before and used a 50 dry shot on it all day long with no problems so im pretty sure a ranger 4.0 can hold it just fine too especially if the little 4 banger with 275k can

i see all these guy's putting sc and turbo's onthere ranger's so i decided to do something different besides NOS kits are cheap and only there when i need it.

HI!... I'm running a NX kit on my truck. It was originally a wet kit for my F-150 drag truck but I converted it to a dry kit and run a 40H.P shot on my 2007 4.OL, SOHC Ranger. You need a tune for it or your A/F's will go way lean. I saw this with my Innovate Motorsports wide band. With the 40 shot I retard my timing -3 degree's and run 14% more fuel with my X-CAL2. Keeps me right around 13.0 on the A/F's. You can't run platinum plugs with nitrous. I suggest a copper core plug like the AUTOLITE racing plugs. You need to go at least one heat range colder on the plugs also. I wouldn't suggest using a wet kit if your intake manifold is plastic. They were never designed to have fluid run through them. They tend to get fuel puddling in the lower plenum and will cause a explosion. Seen it many times.

I've gone a best of 13.83E.T with the 40H.P shot. Plan on re-tuning and stepping up to a 75H.P shot before the tracks close at the end of October. With a re-tune I'm shooting for a 13.4E.T

I think the ohv manifold is metal?? Not sure though, but would a wet shot take care of the fuel issue? Only looking to spray 50 one more thing how can you mess with timing on the 4.0 ohv? Or is that done with a programmer i still cannot find a decent programmer for 93-99 eveything is for the newer sohc

'94 was the last year of the aluminum plenum..

K my trucks a 93 anyone know of any programmers that actually work not like jet chips or anything someone on here has to have first hand experience with programmers and chips
