Nicked a new boot during install - repair suggestions?

No… bacon grease is for the flat top or cast iron cookware. You don’t use it for plebeian duties. There’s barely enough of it to go around for cooking duty unless you eat a ton of bacon. Even then, it’s still important for cooking.

I dove into the rabbit hole of glues and I had an idea; because it's a only a nick and not a full blown tear it can probably be glued back together with the right glue. Neoprene is used a lot in wetsuits and there's a good product called aquaseal. It's a urethane glue that can actually glue neoprene, dries up clear and stays flexible.
I ordered a tube (~10 USD) and once I patched it I'll post an update. Thinking if I should use silicone tape on top, I'll see if the aquaseal by itself holds first.

As long as I can "see" if grease stays under the patch it's good.
