Nice upgrade to my work shop

I’ve got almost the same setup as that for my main box. Only difference is I have a regular top box, not a hutch.
I’m thinking about putting a hutch on the free KRL I showed in the post above. What do you keep in it?
When I worked out of it for a profession it was laptop battery chargers parts tickets few tools on the back wall etc more of an office space. I would have never paid for one out the door just found the setup together paid $10k with a trade

I hate to revive this string, but I couldn't stand it any longer. It's been raining off and on for the last four days so I dragged the old red snap-on box out of the corner, emptied it, cleaned it, washed it down, wire brushed the bad parts and threw a couple cans of red rustoleum on the base.
Put new drawer pads and put all my extra auto tools in it. The top part wasn't bad so I just gave it a good rub down.

It's a lot happier now. :p

I think I have the same two boxes buried in storage somewhere.

Got the black top as a gift. the red bottom free because it was all banged up and falling apart. Keep all my commonly used stuff in there

Got the white box on scratch and dent from Lowe’s.Wanted to get a matching bottom, but they discontinued the style of box before I did. Got the filling cabinets for free from someone I know. Use this for all the specialty one use tools and bigger stuff.

Those white tool boxes... sexy

Had to stop at the Depot to pick up my RidGid cooler. Saw this...

I was looking to add a couple more of the HDX small parts organizers... I had already bought two two packs at like $14 a pair. Clearance for $3.83 a two pack. I bought the last 4 sets they had. It was a good day.

I have a husky box at work. Hate it. The way the drawer slide click closed to keep the draws from opening while moving the box around. Force all the loose tools to slide to the back of the drawer over time.

I got one of these delivered yesterday. Gonna put it together sometime today. Being the top of the Bronco II fender is about armpit height I was going to make a step stool for getting up and under the hood. But I saw this and took a chance. I think I can see many uses for it going forward. Adjusts from 6 inches up to 22 inches Should work for a nice stool when this old guy is tired of standing up too. And... as old as I am... it can triple duty as a walker... lol

You're a long way from needing a walker. I have the same issue with my Ranger and it only has the leveling kit on it - I gotta find something to stand on to reach the trans fluid check.

And the boxes they have at Home Depot are very interesting. I've been eyeing them for awhile - but that's for another day.

I'm more of a rolling rock kinda guy for still be able to work on stuff beer. We call em rolling waters.

Be careful, I had one of those for my F-250 Super Duty. I was working on a section deep in the engine bay and really leaning over. It flipped out from under me and left me hanging on the fender. From that day on I always anchored the upper section around the wheel with a ratchet strap.

Good thinking...

I also been thinking I should have me a... "I've fallen and I can't get up button".

I figure most the bases would be covered at that point.

Fir side access I have one of THESE I found for $20 locally... it really helps on my 4x4 F350 with a 2" lift on 35" tires... the parking brake needs to be on though, learned that the hard way :). I usually just use the $20 harbor freight step stool for going to the front but yeah, it can take a dive backward if you aren't careful...

I keep several of these handy. They're cheap at Northern or Harbor Freight.
