Basically what the title said.
I made a new thread a while back...... and it simply vanished after several posts and some plenty easy going conversation, no trace to be found again.

There was no explanation/ no threat of banning (but why would I be banned for a discussion over jobs/ and lack of) or a PM to say, uhm hey man, we deleted your thread.... cool, take it easy bro.

In most locked threads there is a "brief" explanation about legalities, and the interest of the common TRS member.
I feel this would be plenty fair to members, and perhaps a tad more leniancy on the topics (yes this is a Ranger "forum") but we are all members, and if I was forced to read about trucks for 100 out of 100 threads I wouldn't even bother viewing.

Frank

I guess I missed the thread you're referring to. I've seen a couple threads here closed recently, and there were justifiable reasons for closing them. No idea what happened with yours....

Usually with the software when a topic is MOVED, it will still show the topic in the forum and "moved to" description.

TRS has that Tailgate forum, since I do not subscribe to that non-sense it just showed my post disappearing.... Too bad TRS can't take a cue from RPS, apparently "General Disscussions" at TRS is like "General Disscussions about rangers" even tho that is not clearly stated.:dunno:

My guess is that your post was moved to the Tailgate forum. If you are not subscribed you will not see it.

General discussion is just that, general discussion. You'll probably find topics started there by me that aren't Ranger related.

The older mods know to send someone a PM if they delete a thread. The newer mods may still be learning as the situation arises. If the thread was moved to the tailgate forum and you aren't subscribed to that forum, then it will just look to you as it disappeared.

I checked topics started by 'Frank The Tank' and see one in the Tailgate Forum titled "US Citizens Are Worthless".

The tailgate forum is for posts that may be offensive and upsetting to viewers surfing our forums. Threads shouldn't be moved their just because it's a post with someone complaining. That forum has topics that get more heated like politics and some more ......well.....threads with half naked women in them.

I guess I should make a note here to moderators to tell people if you move a discussion to the Tailgate. The original poster may not be subscribed and won't know where it went.

When logged in go to UserCP, then to the Group memberships section on thecontrol panel. Click to join tailgate and save changes.

There was a thread about how to do it, but I can't seem to locate it. :icon_confused:

what would this entail :icon_confused:

Frank

Go up and click 'User CP' and then look down the menu on the left for 'Group Memberships' Click group memberships and near the bottom of that page you'll see where you can join the Tailgate forum.

Awwwwww, no love for the tall, skinny Canadian. I do all that and it says I don't have sufficient privileges.

.well.....threads with half naked women in them.

That is EXACTLY why I will not go to that forum. Perhaps a sub forum for that nonsense would be better?

Most of those threads are labeled WW which means "work warning"... These are the threads where if your wife is like mine you just dont open it. I go to tailgate all the time and I enjoy it and never does a photo show up on my pc I dont want....because I dont open the thread. Dont knock the section because you dont like some content, its not all bad content, just a place where the content is avail if you want to view it. If you open something by accident there is a back button on your browser, I've used it a couple times.

Jim I have a website called Insane Mustangs and they have setup a section called the GOLD ROOM. You can only view via a onetime pm to a specified mod who will open your permissions for you. If the "nudity thing" gets too out of hand with the whiners, this may be a viable option.
