the grey-t escape
stumbled across this today, a very clean, low milage 2005 2wd ranger. they want nearly 9K for it, but its like new, and with under 18K miles, i guess you could say it is. think i'll drive it tommorow, never drove a duratech 4 cyl, i suppose my 94 would get laughed at as a trade. lol. its a shortbed reg cab, dont know the gear ratio but from what i could tell by research its anywhere from a 3.55/3.73/4.10
from the dealer picture i can tell theyve had it awhile, theres been snow here for a few weeks and theres no snow in the pictures. the only other ranger they have right now is more of what id like but not as good of shape.
heres a link to the dealer page:

that's the exact model I bought new in '05. on the A plan it was somewhere around $11,300 after rebates and end-of year incentives. manuals should have the 3:73 gears, autos 4:10. from the beginning it was my work truck, threw a bed liner and cap on it. 332,400 miles is the current reading, its been a great truck. its been past Marion numerous times, I have family in Columbus.

if you do get it call Wyandot Rustproofing in Upper Sandusky to get it sprayed. I had mine done last fall for $140.

I have some 15" aluminum wheels you may be able to talk me out of, 15 x 7 D twin spoke. they are stripped down to bare metal. 15 x 6 is the stock steel size.

I’ve got 3 full sets of tires I could put on it, though 1 set are 14’s so I’m not sure those would clear the front calipers. This truck is just as clean underneath as the outside is.

Hmmm,, just remembered I need to pick up something at Jegs today.

well I'll be danged, that takes me right past Marion :annoyed:

Looks nice. asking price seems a little high. Truck must have done a lot of sitting in a garage to look that good for a 13 year old truck and only drove about 1000 miles a year. I would talk them down to $6000 since its a standard cab and 2wd.
