Newby, 2001 2.3 Question

My son has just come into possession of a 2001 2.3L Duratec with a problem and I can not find a manual for the engine, can anyone give me the name of a GOOD manual? I am an experienced mechanic so I do know what I am doing. This forum has led me to what I believe is the source of his problem and a manual would be very helpful.
