I've had my '85 Ranger 4x4 for about ten years.I carry a 780 lb. (dry weight) camper on it occasionally. I know you're not supposed to, but I've had no problems doing it. It was in rough shape when I got it and I had to put a rebuilt engine in it, have it painted and had some other work done, but it's been and still is a great little truck. I don't use the 4x4 often, but it has gotten me out of a couple of sticky situations and I wouldn't want to be without it. Right now I'm trying to learn the towing capacity (I think it's 4,800 lbs.) but having a hard time finding that info. I plan to keep this truck running for the rest of my life. I just love driving it.
