Hi all, Just introducing myself. I got my first ranger a month ago. It was practically given to me. 91 short bed base as a base model can get. I was going to fix it just enough to drive to work and back. The motor and tranny is in excellent condition but the rest is a different story. After looking over it I decided it would be cheaper and nicer to try to find a ranger that either needed a motor or tranny. I found one that wasn't for sale but needed a tranny so i offered for it and got it. Then my studies began. A swap from a auto to a manuel. I have it almost comleted. It went easier than expected with my only problem being the driveshaft. Going from a shortbed to longbed and an auto to man. it came about 3 inches to short. I think I finally found one. It should be on the road again in a few days. My new truck is a 90 xlt with minimal rust and a solid truck overall.
