Boy why don't shut it. It's not only gearing cause there wouldn't be people buildin motors up, there'd only be tranny shops. Gears are important but they're also a poor mans excuse for havin' a lil fart can motor. Honestly, the only reason you posted on this thread is cause you saw a fight goin on and you thought that you can put in your two cents. Which nobody cares about someones opinion who compares a truck to a tractor.... really... let me rephrase that......A LAWNMOWER! Cause you probably don't own a TRACTOR. It's probably a Lowe's clearance special on a Toro. So go cut mommy and daddy's grass little boy and leave the off-road talk to people who actually GO off-road in TRUCKS not LAWNMOWERS.

AND second why quote the post where XTrEmE is sayin' THANK YOU to someone who APOLOGIZED to him. Boy go finish the third grade and AT LEAST the rest of ELEMENTARY school before you open up that hole again. :thefinger:

:shok:
It's a rainbow!

Note I am a full time student also (in college). However, instead of using it as an excuse to not have money... I work....full time.... and part time....and I own my own business. I have money and I'm a student... :icon_thumby:

I guess everyone is getting their own private pissing match in this thread. I'm out of here, not worth explaining.

Those videos prove nothing. On one hand you have a truck with a huge lift and huge tires plowing through what looks like at least two feet of mud and getting stuck because he didn't get a run at it. On the other, you have trucks of many sizes and tire configurations hitting much less mud at a higher rate of speed. Apples and oranges, bud.

And those videos STILL have nothing to do with gearing. What axles do you think that first truck has under it? Hint: probably made by a former defense contractor to either 2.5 or 5 ton spec. Guess the gear ratio: __.72
