I also picked up 2 86 XL 250R's, and Im almost finished making one out of 2 lol.

nice, i almost talk myself into getting a bike... but then i realize i need to work on my ranger and save money lol.

Hella. I love 250 2 strokes. Especially built ones. The first few times you ride one it can really freak you out even with years of experience riding. Man the powerband leaves you hanging on for dear life.

I remember the first one I rode back in 05 I think. Suzuki 250 2 stroke, race geared, aftermarket expansion pipe, Trinity muffler, and renthal bars of course. A whole lot of bike. I thought it would be no big deal after riding other bikes for as long as I had(4 strokes).

It was like falling in love, took a while to get comfortable and feel confident with that snappy torque, but once you do you can use it to rip corners, turns, hairpins, and ruts to shreds without hesitation.

Congrats thats a sweet bike, have fun, be safe, and let her rip!

Really dumb ass question here. That looks just like my buddies old bike. He called it an "Enduro". Are they the same thing?

I'm not into bikes, so pardon me for being naive here. :D

sick ride man, ive been looking into a street legal dirt bike or like an r6 as well.......

Nice bike. And yes these things are rockets. I had a 01(I think) yz 250, full fmf pipe, had some outher work done on it. Needles to say that thing kicked my ass and than some. Fast as heck tho crank on it and hold on.
Here's a pic of my old bike.

Be same, WERE A LID!!!!!!!! These things are hell on wheels!

you can have the 2 strokes, i like the 4 stroke down low torque.

Never riden a MX bike but quite a few Enduro's. Had a Kow 175 all hopped up, even rode it in the Winter. Rode a 390 Husky automatic one time, that was really strange. Little brother (55) still rides enduro's. Things have sure improved in 35 years.

I once rode a friend's CR250R with a whole grocery list of parts in that. To say it was fast was an understatement, it just plain wasn't right for something that small to have that much power. The side of the block did have a little "FMF 300" cast into the side of it, and didn't quite look like a regular Honda block, but neither one of us could find any info, I didn't think FMF made entire engines.

NICE!

This will hopefully be my purchase this week or next. It got a headlight and tail light already so im adding a brake light and horn and mirror and then itll be street legal! im pumped.
