So I have a 2017 F250 XLT w/ 22k miles on it a leveling kit and 37 Trail Grapplers. It is a 6.2 truck and I literally hate putting miles on it. Only time I use it is towing my car trailer which will most likely end up being towing the BII I am building to the mountains etc. So I will end up racking up highway miles for basically no reason. I also have a 2020 Ranger FX4 with 41k miles on it. I am contemplating trading both on a new F150 FX4 5.0. Basically same fuel mileage as the ranger tow the trailer and BII and maybe a boat in the future. Other than that I think a half ton would do most I need. Just wondering thoughts. The 250 is paid off I feel like I would step away free and clear. Well if I didn't I would absolutely not do the deal. Waiting on a few dealers to call me. Just wondering thoughts of getting rid of the 2 for 1. Ohhhhh also the 250 is SUPER clean, manual hubs manual shift 4wd bear bones XLT. Which I LOVE about that truck. It just sits now though...

You would get a lot more money right now if you sold at least one rather than trading.

Unfortunately people are selling $1500 beaters for $4000 now, it's crazy
Depends on what your after. Atleast around here. Anything 4wd or with a bed is ridiculious. I could pry get 2500 from rusty right now.

Best "values" ive seen on 4wds are 1st gen expeditions.

F250, going on 6 years old has half the miles of the 2 year old truck. I would Ditch the Ranger, Keep the 250 for Hauling, as is, and get a Maverick for the MPGs and easy stuff. So what the 250 just sits until you need it. It's paid for, so only gas and maintenance on that one. IMO, if you trade both for a F150, you might end up in a situation where the 150 is either too much (Maverick), or NOT enough (F-250).

Definitely don't do 2 for 1 unless your getting many thousands of dollarydoos on top.

Does the ranger have the tow package?

I like having two vehicles. One is the DD, the other is for family functions and as the backup incase either my or her DD breaks.

I spent about 6 weeks without a vehicle once. Bumming rides or borrowing vehicles the whole time. I never want to be in that situation again.

We both work and have different shifts. One functioning vehicle between the two of us will not work.

All valid points guys! Thanks for the input. Yes the 250 pretty much just holds rocks down in the driveway. When I bought it I was driving a service truck 90% of the time and had a beater car. I also have a 97 150 beater truck too that I can use just don't drive it real far. So basically boiled down to the ranger doesn't get that great a mileage ( don't mind it just wasn't really impressed with it, I only use 93 as well) BTW I get mileage reimbursement for all work trips which 1 a month can make my payment.. The 250 is worth more now than it probably ever will, and like I said if I start hauling the BII around that is going to rack the miles up on that, which means all these years with out miles was kinda pointless.. But then again who am I fooling how many trips will I really get to take with it. 1-2 a year..?

I owe 21 on the ranger so that would go away and I was thinking I could walk with 5k in my pocket probably but I know I would always regret selling my 250.

ohh

@Blmpkn yes I have the trailer package on the ranger as well. I tow little trailers with it all the time and a 6x12 landscape trailer KILLS fuel mileage. The 250 gets 10 whether I have 8k lbs behind it or 60 miles per hour no load...

Swap the Ranger for a Maverick. Get rid of all the "in between" trucks, improve your MPG's and still have the 250 for "work stuff"

I don't really like the body style of the maverics I have seen... Looks like a Ridgeline or something again I don't really mind the mileage of the ranger just figured if I was getting 20-21 I could do the same in the full size and tow the B2 then I have NO need for the 250 but idk...

Here's what I got now
