I just got a new truck with 57,000 miles on it. What kind of maintance should I do. Oil was just changed a little under 3000mi ago but ill prob do it anyway. What else is recommended? thanks

change the gear oil in the rear end, inspect all the belts for wear change the trans fluid and filter enjoy

i thought u change oil every 3000 miles...

i dont bother with mine...it leaks then burns 1 liter every 1000-2000 km's for me anyways. stupid valve cover...

Its 5K on the newer ones.

3-5k depending on how anal you are about it. I actually looked and it was done more like 2000mi ago on april 28th. I still think im gonna do it.

Whats involved with changing the rear end oil? Should i flush my radiator and put new fluid in or is that unnecessary? Probably should do the fuel filter too i suppose

Yeah I would do radiator flush too. I would change basically every fluid in the truck. Trans fluid and rear diff as mentioned, front diff and transfer case. The engine oil can wait another 1000 miles.

All of the above and a fuel filter wouldn't hurt either. :)

Truck is really new but maybe take a look at the plugs & wires?

Just a rambling...

plugs
wires
motor oil /filter
trans fluid/filter
rad flush
transfercase
diffs
air filter
fuel filter
clean the maf
clean battery connections
clean the throttle body
top off the wiper fluid

It is recommended that you should try to contact your mechanics. Some of maintenance advice will provide you. You should always check your tires, engines, battery and other parts of your truck.
