New TRS flag

All Ranger engines were originally car engines... even the new ones... you think the Pinto was a truck?
With the xception of the 2.9/4.0... maybe the 2.8 too, but not sure on that one

The 2.9 was used in cars in Europe. I can’t say one way or the other on the 2.8 or the 4.0 but with Ford’s “waste not, want not” mentality, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were used in a car somewhere.

2.8 was used in the Mustang II.

We have a new flag.

Bite your tongue. My Mustang II Cobra II had a Herculean 140hp 302 V-8 in it.

I had no idea... I honestly thought they didn't use the 302 because of the gas shortage back then. Learn something new everyday.

What gas shortage? The country of Alberta is one of those Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (or at least when proper government is in power in USA). There used to be a kicking mule on the airport grounds here in Calgary (probably not PC anymore).

Hmmm, and I thought it was Organization of Petroleum Exporting from Canada... LOL

Regardless, I was 10 at that time, didn't care about gas lines...

edit: V8 wasn't offered until 75. 73-74 Cobra II had 2.8 V6...

Terrible Cars that Weren’t Actually Terrible: The Ford Mustang II (motortrend.com)
Minor nitpicking:
The '71-73 car was a Mustang, personally, I would call it 4th generation '64½-'66 is 1st, '67-'68s are 2nd, '69-'70 are 3rd.
The Mustang IIs were from '74-78; the Cobra II is from '76 to '78 and $#!+, you could get the Cobra II package with the 2.3 and Auto. I think I'm going to be sick.

They are doing that with some of the packages on other vehicles. Like FX4 on the AWD Maverick.

That actually looks better than I thought it would. I should have cut down my Bobcat wagon like that.

Wow. My 2010 Fit had an engine less than half that size with 120 HP. That 302 V8 was gutless! :o
